TREE OF LIFE IV
(54 inches wide by 54 inches high)
The tree was beautiful in its greatness,
in the breadth of its branches,
for its roots went down to abundant water.
[Ezekiel 31:7]

This design employs the stylized Images of a tree to envision fullness of life under God's reign -- its branches imitative of the breadth of God's embrace, its colors reflective of the many seasons of God's activity and purpose, and its grounding reminiscent of the abundance of God's endlessly good intentions for all creation.

This work was fashioned from a variety of cotton, linen, silk, and synthetic fabrics that were screen printed with relevant biblical texts, then embellished with improvisational machine stitching.
