This design for the Feast of Pentecost was inspired by the account in Acts 2 of the appearance of the Holy Spirit in tongues of fire.

It was executed using commercial cotton fabrics, many with gold metallic patterns, then embellished with couched threads and improvisational stitching. The chasuble was fashioned from commercial synthetic fabric.
