My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?
This work was inspired by the words of Psalm 22:1, words that gave expression to the forsakenness that Jesus experienced on the cross.

This work was pieced from black commercial cotton and rayon fabric from which I selectively removed the dye. It also features fused appliqué, hand embroidery, an African mask made of bone, and improvisational stitching.
