This work depicts the successive commands in Genesis 1 by which the Creator summoned the world into existence.

This work was improvisationally pieced from commercial cotton fabrics and embellished with stamping, stenciling, faux chenille, hand-embroidery, and improvisational stitching.

This work received the Poster Award at Contemporary Works of Faith 2005, a biennial exhibition sponsored by the Liturgical Art Guild, and was juried into Spiritual Expressions in Fiber at the Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum in Golden, Colorado.
