This design is suggestive both of the baptismal waters by which Christians are joined to Christ's body, the Church, and the calling of God's people of every age to live lives that call forth God's in-breaking reign of righteousness and justice. The pieces in this project were constructed from dye-painted silk habotai and commercial silk dupioni, then embellished with gold lamé piping, couched metallic threads, and improvisational stitching.
