Growing up in a household where children were expected to be neither seen nor heard, I became adept at viewing the world surreptitiously, at odd angles and from around doorways and arches.

This work was improvisationally pieced using digitally-altered images printed onto commercial fabrics, which were then over-dyed. It also features appliquéd elements, tulle overlays, couched threads, and improvisational stitching.

Selected for inclusion in ART QUILTS Images, this work toured with that exhibition to venues throughout the U.S.
